After battling the familiar beast of imposter syndrome I’ve finally done what I wanted to for so many years, connecting inner knowledge to money. In launching LOTS I’m carving out a space to connect to ourselves before we delve into the world of how.
I’ve spent years in formal training as an Accountant, CPA and then Financial Planner. And more recently taking myself through my own education in reconnecting with myself and being human. The impact on my life of the latter is by far the greater. It is the why of everything we do.
I’ve kept my spirituality at arm’s length to my career in finance, unsure how I can go about connecting the two but feeling driven to do exactly that. In spirituality circles they talk about manifesting abundance without the connection to tools to do it, and in finance it’s about the continual drive to accumulate more. I want to discuss the intersection.
In the intersection is where the fun is found. The freedom to grow your goals as you evolve and with the financial know how to actually achieve them. Clarity of goals and the plan to get there.
Why this? Why now? Because it’s needed. In a world of hustle culture, expectations of quick wins and continuous news cycles that lead to a future of despair, there need to be voices that anchor us back into ourselves and remind us that there is no voice that can be as loud as our own, no compass worth following but our own hearts.
This is a business built from my experience of shedding the costumes I’d tried on of who I wanted to be, who I thought I should I be or was told to be. to find the real nuggets of gold for what lights me up. This is the journey I want to take clients on.
Working with clients in goal setting and financial planning I’ve had the unique opportunity to realise how shared so many of these experiences are, which is no surprise at all the more I learn. Often not acknowledged though is how these shared experiences impact how we deal with money. Because money creates choices. And the choices we take are 100% influenced by our subconscious ideas of who we are.
I am here to tell you that you are unique within a system that often tries to make us a mass consumer and applies a one path fits all approach to life. But life is far too short to follow that road. That road leads to boredom, disconnection and apathy. In choosing to see the unique you, to de-condition, you are choosing a life led by your own set of values, leading to quite the opposite. Meaning, connection and inspiration.
It’s common to hear the term “manifest abundance” in spirituality circles. It sounds so vague, but it really isn’t. It’s about 2 things,
1. Letting go of any perceptions that don’t serve you. Mindset. If this is limited you won’t dream, or see opportunities, or feel safe enough to take them.
2. Create a clear intention for what you want. You need to know yourself here, because if that intention is flip flopping about based on the latest shining object you are unable will be stuck.
If you can do this work AND hook that into your money planning, you have some seriously powerful ability to make your life. Not respond to it. Actively create your life.
